About the programme

Intresset för idrott, hälsofrågor och fysisk aktivitet bara växer. Idrottsvärlden breddas och har med tiden fått en mer professionell karaktär med multiarenor och event som drivkrafter. Dessutom växer intresset för motion och hälsa bland gemene man och det är än mer populärt att delta i motionslopp och amatörtävlingar.

De två inriktningarna på kandidatprogrammet i idrottsvetenskap grundar sig båda i ett samhällsvetenskapligt perspektiv på idrott som en kulturföreteelse. Inriktningen Sport Management tar avstamp i idrott som underhållnings- och konsumtionskultur och vänder sig till dig som vill arbeta med planering och ledarskap inom idrottsvärlden. Inriktningen Fysisk aktivitet och hälsa har istället ett fokus på idrott som hälso- och kroppskultur och vänder sig till dig som vill arbeta med att utveckla, leda och stödja individer och grupper i idrott- och hälsofrågor.
